Popular Nollywood makeover artist and baby mama of actor Mustapha Sholagbade, Adewunmi Fatai, has opened up about a humiliating experience she faced while in the United Kingdom.
Speaking on the Talk to B Podcast with actress Biola Bayo, Adewunmi revealed that she was once accused of stealing gold in the UK, an allegation that she later discovered had spread widely within the film industry.
She recounted how the accuser even suggested that her son be taken away from her, which left her devastated. In tears, she called her mother to share the painful news, only for her mother to break down crying as well.
Adewunmi also spoke about the challenges she has faced in the industry, including an incident where a married woman publicly belittled her for being a baby mama. At an event, when food was being served, she was told to wait because only married women would be served first.
Despite the challenges, Adewunmi acknowledged those who helped her grow in the industry, particularly Dele Ogundipe and Oluwole Cole Baraka, who supported her early career as a beautician. She also expressed deep admiration for actress Yetunde Barnabas, calling her one of her best producers.
Addressing critics of her pricing, she boldly stated, "I am not expensive; it’s you who can’t afford me."
Her revelations have sparked conversations online, with many showing support and admiration for her resilience.
