Leke Adeboye, son of the respected General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has shared a stern warning on social media aimed at youths who are part of an online challenge disrespecting his father and the Christian faith.
The warning, originally posted by James Paul Adama, addresses those participating in the trending #30DaysRantChallenge, where some youths have been making offensive statements about Pastor Adeboye and Christianity.
Adama expressed disappointment in the silence of social media-active Christians, prophets, apostles, and young pastors who have failed to publicly condemn the attacks.
In his message, Adama stated that the line has been crossed, and those involved will face consequences. He made it clear that actions would be taken against those disrespecting faith leaders and the Christian religion.
His message reads:
"There’s an ongoing so-called #30daysrantchallenge, where some youths are launching verbal assaults at Papa E.A. Adeboye and the Christian Faith.
All the so-called social media Christians, prophets, apostles, and young pastors who know how to quote scriptures are watching these malicious and injurious publications without any word of rebuke.
Once we arrest those who have crossed the red line, they will start saying things like 'Jesus never arrested anybody' or 'You are embarrassing the Body of Christ.'
Let it be abundantly clear that those who have crossed the red line by abusing our faith and fathers of faith during this challenge will be addressed in a language they will understand."
The post has since triggered discussions among social media users, with some supporting the warning while others expressed concerns about freedom of speech.
