 Renowned Nigerian barber Kufre Nnah, founder of Kayzplace Barbershop, has shared an inspiring story about his long-standing friendship and working relationship with Afrobeats superstar Davido.


In a recent post on social media, Kufre revealed that he began cutting Davido’s hair when the singer was just 12 years old, charging only ₦200 per session at the time.


“I started cutting Davido’s hair when he was just 12 years old. He used to pay me ₦200 back then,” Kufre wrote.


Fast forward more than a decade, Kufre now earns as much as ₦2 million per haircut, catering to Nigeria’s biggest celebrities, including Wizkid, Don Jazzy, and Burna Boy.


“What a journey,” he added. “So proud to have been part of his story from the beginning. Big thanks to you, brother, for trusting me all these years. Your success is truly inspiring.”


Kufre, who started his barbing business in Lagos with just ₦5,000, now runs one of the country’s most elite grooming brands, with several branches across the state.


His story has touched many online, serving as a reminder that hard work, loyalty, and consistency can turn a small hustle into a legacy.
