Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has expressed excitement after officials of First Bank reportedly paid him a visit at his home with money and other gifts.
The singer shared a video of the visit on his social media page, proudly appreciating the bank for the gesture and reaffirming his loyalty as a customer.
Portable described himself as a First Bank ambassador and said he had no regrets about choosing the financial institution. He also revealed that the bank had become his favourite because of his long-standing relationship with it.
Speaking in the video, the singer explained that he had used his First Bank account for his financial transactions, including during his trips to London, the United States and Canada. He added that he had printed his bank statement from the institution and claimed that money paid into his account goes directly to First Bank.
Portable said, “First Bank came to greet me at home. They came with money. I am glad that you guys came to see me. I be First Bank ambassador. I don’t regret ever using First Bank.
“I went to London, America, and Canada; my bank statement—First Bank—I have printed it. Any money that enters my account goes straight to their bank. God bless them.”
The singer further disclosed that the bank officials presented him with a point-of-sale (POS) terminal and wanted to explain how he could open a dollar account.
The visit appeared to leave Portable delighted, as he repeatedly expressed gratitude to the bank for recognising him and showing him such attention.
His announcement has also drawn attention to the relationship between the singer and the financial institution, although the visit alone does not establish whether he has a formal ambassadorial agreement with the bank.
Portable’s reaction highlights his excitement over the gesture and his appreciation for the banking services he says he has used over the years.
