Italian club Atalanta have reportedly placed a £52 million price tag on Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman, following Arsenal's growing interest in the talented forward.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Serie A side expects formal offers to come in soon, with Arsenal eyeing Lookman as a backup option should their pursuit of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo fall through.
However, the Gunners are said to be only willing to offer £43 million plus performance-based bonuses for the in-form winger — a figure still short of Atalanta’s valuation.
Lookman, who joined Atalanta in 2022, has been a standout performer for the club. He has made 118 appearances, scored 52 goals, and provided 25 assists in all competitions.
His most recent season was his best yet, with 15 goals scored, and he played a crucial role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph during the 2022/23 campaign.
The 26-year-old’s consistency, goal-scoring ability, and European experience have caught the attention of several top clubs, but Atalanta remain firm on their asking price as they prepare for possible negotiations this summer.
