Nigerian street-pop singer Small Doctor has opened up about a difficult period in his life, blaming his struggles on a house he described as spiritually cursed. Taking to his Twitter page, the singer shared how he once lived in a neat and quiet house that seemed perfect on the outside but brought nothing but bad luck.
“I once lived in a bad-luck house. The house was so neat, silent — just everything anyone would want. I went from 100 to zero in that house. I almost ran mad,” he wrote.
Small Doctor warned his followers to pray and investigate properly before renting any house, emphasizing the importance of spiritual awareness when choosing a place to live.
“If you want to rent a house, ask well ooo. Go do findings for that area and pray. Cràzy houses dey ooo,” he added.
Public Reactions:
The tweet sparked massive engagement, with many netizens and celebrities sharing their own similar experiences with spiritually disturbing homes.
Actress Semilore Pweety commented:
“Hmmm, that year I can never forget. Don’t just jump at a house because it’s fine. People warned me, but I didn’t listen.”
Actress Funmi Awelewa said:
“Story of my life. Thank God for the breakthrough.”
Makeup artist Adewunmi Fatai added:
“I don’t collect houses anymore without proper findings.”

@mayokun_baby: “If it hasn’t happened to you, you’ll think it’s a joke. Life is spiritual.”

Many agreed that beyond physical appearance, homes can carry spiritual burdens that affect residents' health, finances, and peace of mind. The conversation has since sparked renewed awareness on the importance of spiritual due diligence before renting or buying a house.
