Popular Nollywood actor Yomi Adeyeri has opened up about a painful encounter with actress Toyin Abraham during a film production, calling it one of the worst experiences of his acting career.
In a revealing interview with Feel Right News TV, published on July 10, 2025, Adeyeri recounted a moment on set when Toyin allegedly directed the production manager to give him just ₦1,000 for food—a gesture he found disrespectful and deeply humiliating.
“Toyin Abraham did something that was a big challenge to me, and I was so sad about it,” he said.
“I used to collect ₦2,000 as feeding allowance from actors. But on that day, Toyin told them to give me ₦1,000. I rejected it and told her to return it to the producer.”
According to Yomi, Toyin tried to justify the action by saying that when she was an upcoming actress, she received no feeding allowance at all. The comment upset Yomi, who reminded her that he had been in the industry long before her, even though she gained fame earlier.
He also revealed that he was present when Toyin got one of her early roles, brought in by Bukky Wright to play an extra on Funsho Adeolu’s set.
Overcome with emotion, Yomi said he left the set in tears following the incident. However, the situation was later resolved after several veterans in the industry intervened, prompting Toyin to apologize.
The emotional account has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans showing support for Yomi while others called for reconciliation and understanding within the industry.
