Popular Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has shared a deeply personal story about betrayal from a close friend, opening up about a past experience that left her both hurt and wiser.
In a lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, Bimbo recounted how she once had a friend who wanted to become an actress, and out of support, she often shopped for her, providing clothes, shoes, and bags to help her look like the superstar she aspired to be.
Things took a strange turn during a movie premiere where Bimbo was the lead actress. She revealed that after her stylist completed fittings for her in the presence of this friend, the lady showed up at the event in the exact same dress, only in a different colour. Although Bimbo brushed it off at the time, her sister warned her that the behavior wasn’t okay.
“It was like something changed in her that day. She started trying to outshine me at every event. And it was all on my tab,” Bimbo wrote.
The situation worsened when Bimbo fell ill for several weeks, and the friend never checked in on her. Eventually, she cut ties with her.
To her shock, the woman allegedly created a fake Instagram account, began trolling Bimbo, and even went as far as messaging Bimbo’s boyfriend with false claims—attempting to lure him romantically.
“Tell me why this daughter of Jezebel created a fake page and started trolling me,” she added.
Her story sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities, many praising her strength and honesty in sharing the betrayal she endured.
Bimbo ended the post by saying she might continue the story another time if necessary.
