"She leaves her own problems to fight for yours." – Actress Lola Alao testifies about Iyabo Ojo’s personality.

Nollywood actress Lola Alao has spoken out in defense of her colleague Iyabo Ojo, describing her as a selfless and compassionate person. In a video circulating online, Lola praised Iyabo for her generosity and willingness to help others even while facing personal challenges.

“Iyabo is a kind-hearted person and a cheerful giver. She leaves her problems and fights for yours. Now they’re dragging and lying against her,” Lola said emotionally.

This heartfelt testimony comes in the midst of renewed social media criticism against Iyabo. Just last week, some men were seen on the streets of Lagos chanting “E no go better for Iyabo Ojo” — a reaction believed to be linked to her involvement in the Mohbad case.

Reacting on Instagram, Iyabo Ojo clarified that she never claimed anyone specifically caused Mohbad’s death. She expressed deep concern over how some individuals have repeatedly called for her death, threatened her business, and targeted her children — all without any form of protection or justice from authorities. Iyabo also revealed that she received a death threat letter at her office just days before her daughter’s wedding in Tanzania.

This is not the first time Lola Alao has spoken highly of Iyabo. Two years ago, she recalled how Iyabo visited her in Canada and helped promote her clothing business. According to Lola, the actress’s support led to daily international orders, prompting her to call Iyabo a “blessed child” who brought her good fortune.

Iyabo’s kindness has also been echoed by other industry colleagues:

Ashabi Olorisha (Adedola Aderonke) described Iyabo as someone whose “good heart will always work for her and her generation.” She also showered her with prayers for strength and protection.

Kiitan Bukola revealed that Iyabo offered her accommodation after her house in Lekki was demolished by the Lagos State government.

Bimbo Success shared that Iyabo contacted her to offer help when she learned that her twins were battling a severe cough. Bimbo noted Iyabo was even upset for not being informed earlier.

Despite ongoing criticisms, these testimonials paint a different picture of Iyabo Ojo — one of a woman deeply committed to helping others, even while enduring personal trials.
