Nollywood actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has stirred reactions online after publicly celebrating actress Wumi Toriola on her birthday, despite the known fallout between Wumi and his wife, Toyin Abraham.
On Friday, July 11th, Ajeyemi took to his Instagram page to share a photo of Wumi, wishing her well on her special day. He expressed hope that all her birthday wishes come true and encouraged her to enjoy her day.
“Happy birthday, dear @wumitoriola! I hope all your birthday wishes come true! It’s your special day. Enjoy your day,” he wrote.
In a surprise response, Wumi warmly acknowledged his gesture, replying:
“Thank you, Daddy Ire.”
The post caught many by surprise, considering Toyin Abraham and Wumi Toriola were once close friends but have since gone their separate ways due to unresolved differences.
Ajeyemi also used the opportunity to promote his ongoing cinema project, "Iyalode," urging fans to get tickets as it continues to show in cinemas nationwide.
