Annie Macaulay and 2baba Cut Ties as They Unfollow Each Other on Instagram

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay Idibia and her legendary singer husband 2baba have taken another step in ending their marriage by unfollowing each other on Instagram.

The couple, whose marriage of more than ten years faced serious troubles earlier this year, now seem to be cutting ties both privately and publicly. A check on their Instagram pages shows that Annie no longer follows her husband, while 2baba has also unfollowed her. He even reduced his following list to just 33 people, including his new wife, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, and a few colleagues such as comedian Ayo Makun, Don Jazzy, Kemi Adetiba, and Nasboi.

This latest move comes shortly after Annie indirectly called him a deadbeat father. On her Instagram story, she made a list of great dads and tagged Peter Okoye, Cole Peter, and Andilen Cube— pointedly leaving out 2baba.

Last month, Annie also dropped hints about moving on. She shared a post saying she simply archives and moves on from things that no longer serve her.

The drama continued at the Headies Awards, where Annie made headlines with her bold introduction. While on stage, the mother of two reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay, not Annie Idibia, stressing to the world that she is now single.

It will be recalled that in January 2025, 2baba publicly announced his separation from Annie. Since then, he has moved on with Natasha Osawaru, whom he later married.
