Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has publicly called out an alleged scammer for exploiting her family and friends.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress revealed that the scammer used a pretty woman’s face to lure unsuspecting victims. According to her, the fraudster charged her sister and nephew ₦650,000 for a 3-night stay under the pretense of offering a discount.
In her post, Bimbo expressed anger and promised to find and deal with the culprit, stressing that she doesn’t tolerate anyone messing with her family — especially her nephew.
She wrote:
“THIEF ALERT! Had to take the previous post down because the real owner of the video is also a victim. The page used her pretty face to lure people (I sincerely apologise). However, @getawaysbyelliee scammed my sister and nephew. It charged 650k for 3 nights under the guise of running a discount. The phone number is in the conversation, and that’s their page. I will find you, my love, and I’d handle you accordingly. You don’t mess with my family, ESPECIALLY my nephew. Now we have a problem, because my boy was really looking forward to that pool.”
In another update, she disclosed that the same scammer also defrauded her friend of ₦500,000 and had been targeting other innocent victims.
“@luxurylivingbyellie. Yes, you’ve refunded my sister, but you also scammed my friend out of 500k yesterday, and some other innocent people. Changing your handle isn’t enough. I’d find you. Apparently, it’s like a ring. There’s plenty of them. And they’re just using poor Beni’s pic to scam people. I’m on to you sweetie. Don’t ever mess with mine.”
Her posts have sparked discussions online, with many fans urging her to take legal action and expose the fraudsters.
