La’tayvia Deshay Ransom, popularly known online as Tayta Games, has died at just 21 years old after a battle with colon cancer. She passed away on September 17, only nine days before her 22nd birthday.
Her father, Elton Dirt Ransom, confirmed the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post, revealing that the cancer had spread to her liver. “My oldest daughter passed this morning. La’tayvia Deshay Ransom would have made 22 years old in 9 days… Damn, I just can’t believe I lost my child,” he wrote emotionally.
Tayta had built a strong online presence with over one million followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, where she became known for her funny and relatable reactions while playing games like Minecraft and Dress to Impress.
She was also open about her cancer journey, sharing her diagnosis last year and updating fans about her chemotherapy treatments. In her last YouTube update, posted five months ago, she explained that she was struggling with side effects like peripheral neuropathy, which made it hard for her to post regularly, though she missed connecting with her fans. Her final TikTok post was on August 21.
In a touching tribute, her twin brother remembered her as the “sweetest” and “funniest” person, highlighting the joy she brought to everyone around her.
