Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, has responded calmly to recent drama involving her baby daddy, singer Portable.
Despite Portable's public rant accusing her of trying to ruin his marriage, Ashabi appears unbothered. Taking to Instagram, she shared a video of herself along with a powerful caption.
She wrote:
“I can’t afford to fail because the lifestyle I want is expensive.
May we not labour in vain.”
Her post comes shortly after Portable leaked a private conversation online, where he called Ashabi “the biggest mistake of his life,” claiming she once chased away his former partner, Queen Dami.
Ashabi previously addressed his accusations, stating that this wasn’t the first time he had insulted her publicly. She urged people not to advise her or interfere in her relationship, insisting that she would handle things in her own way.
However, Portable continued his attack during a TikTok live session, warning the public to watch Ashabi closely. He accused her of posting sponsored ads from wealthy men and claimed she was planning a trip to South Africa. He also alleged that he tried to stop her from traveling by getting her pregnant, but it didn’t work.
Despite the ongoing drama, Ashabi remains focused on her goals, making it clear that she refuses to let personal issues derail her success.
