Stella Maris Okafor, the wife of late Nollywood legend John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has honoured her husband on what would have been his birthday.
In a heartfelt video shared on social media, she wrote, “Keep resting in the Lord. Happy posthumous birthday, my husband. Guys, please let’s continue to celebrate a living legend.”
In another post featuring a slideshow of memories, she added, “Happy posthumous birthday to my lovely husband. Thank you for being such an amazing husband and father. Happy heavenly birthday on this special day. We remember the love, joy, and laughter you shared with everyone. I and your children vow to honor your memory every day. We miss you so much. Continue to rest in peace. It is well.”
John Okafor, born on October 17, 1961, was one of Nollywood’s most celebrated comic actors, loved for his unique humour and charismatic presence. He passed away on March 2, 2024, leaving a legacy cherished by fans and colleagues around the world.
