In a post on Instagram, she said the heartbreaking video of the recent Kwara church attack has left many Nigerians, especially mothers, deeply shaken. She questioned how anyone can move on from such pain and how mothers can sleep peacefully knowing young girls have been taken away from their families.
Toyin wrote:
“How do we move past the heaviness in our hearts after watching the heartbreaking video of the attack in Kwara? How does any mother close her eyes at night knowing that 25 young girls have been stolen from their families…?”
She explained that mothers carry a fear “deep in their bones,” and that violent events like these are not just headlines but wounds that cut deeply.
According to her, terrorism and religious extremism are tearing communities apart and threatening the safety and peace every child deserves.
She added:
“These fanatics and terrorists are not just attacking villages, they are attacking the very idea of safety, childhood, and peace… These are the questions that haunt every mother’s heart.”
Toyin’s message comes shortly after actress Iyabo Ojo demanded urgent government action. Iyabo called the abduction a painful reminder of the Chibok girls and urged Nigerians to stand together against injustice.
Music star Davido also expressed sadness over the Kebbi kidnapping and the Kwara attack. He said no family deserves such pain and prayed for all the victims, stressing that violence must never become normal in Nigeria.
Toyin Abraham has often shown support during national tragedies. After the Ibadan explosion last year, she visited victims, prayed for them, and shared that the incident left her “short of words.”
