Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola and veteran filmmaker Afeez Owo have finally settled their differences after months of tension.
The reconciliation happened on Wednesday evening during Odunlade Adekola’s movie premiere. In a viral video, Wumi walked up to Afeez, went down on her knees, and apologized for her past outburst
.“I’m sorry, sir. Please forgive me,” she said.
Afeez, who tried to walk away at first, later lifted her up and hugged her.
Their quarrel began two months ago after Afeez said in an interview on the African A-List podcast that Wumi’s movie roles reflected her real-life attitude, adding that “violence is her comfort zone.”
Wumi fired back, calling the interview “rubbish” in a video she later deleted.
The drama caused a strong reaction online, with many people supporting Afeez’s remarks. Shortly after the online backlash, Wumi was reportedly hospitalised.
