“I over-supported your sister when she was alive” — Iyabo Ojo Responds After Allwell Ademola’s Brother Calls Out Nollywood Colleagues

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has reacted strongly after the brother of her late colleague, Allwell Ademola, publicly criticized actors in the industry following his sister’s death.

Allwell Ademola reportedly passed away on Saturday night after suffering a heart attack at her home. The sad news was confirmed by several Nollywood actors through social media. Popular actors such as Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to mourn her and pay tribute online.

However, shortly after the announcements, Allwell Ademola’s brother expressed anger toward her colleagues. In an emotional video, he questioned their show of love after her death, accusing them of not supporting her while she was alive. He mentioned names including Iyabo Ojo and Lateef Adedimeji, claiming his sister had helped many actors and even allowed them to use their home for film shoots, yet they did not feature her in their movies or promote her work.

He said many actors were now calling her “our sister” and “our producer,” but asked if they ever truly honored or supported her career when she was alive. He also warned them to stop sharing her photos online and corrected reports about her age, stressing that she was not 43 years old.

Iyabo Ojo, who was mentioned directly, did not take the accusations lightly and responded to the brother’s comments, making it clear that she did not agree with his claims. The situation has since sparked mixed reactions online, with fans divided over whether the brother was right to speak out or if his comments were unfair to the late actress’s colleagues.

The controversy has added tension to an already painful moment for the Nollywood community as they continue to mourn the sudden loss of Allwell Ademola.
