“I Thought I Would Be Crowned Oversabi’s Best Dresser” – Mercy Aigbe Laments Missing Toyin Abraham’s Movie Premiere

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has expressed disappointment after missing the premiere of her colleague Toyin Abraham’s highly anticipated movie, Oversabi Aunty, held at IMAX Cinema in Lagos.

Although Mercy had previously joked about winning the “Best Dressed” at the premiere, she revealed on Instagram that she was stuck on set filming until 11 PM, while her outfit and gele were at home. She lamented missing what she described as a “golden opportunity.”

Mercy wrote:

"11 PM still on set, filming in one bush. Cloth and Gele dey house. Me that I thought I would be crowned Oversabi Dresser tonight."

Fans and colleagues reacted to her post with sympathy and humor. Toyin Adewale commented, “Eyah, pele Agbeke. Ise Tiata nawah.” Idia Aisen wrote, “I’m sorry for laughing.” Others expressed regret that they did not get to see her outfit for the premiere.

This comes a week after Mercy had publicly called out Toyin Abraham for excluding her from the grand invitation, warning that a fight might start and emphasizing that no one should intervene. Mercy also noted that Abraham had her location address and urged her to “do the needful.”
