Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has reacted after receiving a major recognition from the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
The actress was honoured with a Box Office Champion award after her cinema movie earned over N1 billion, making her the first solo director to achieve such a milestone with a debut project.
The award ceremony was attended by NFVCB Director-General Shuaibu Husseini and Olori Temitope Ogunwusi, who also showed support for the actress.
In a heartfelt message, Toyin Abraham described the recognition as a great honour that she deeply appreciates. She thanked the organisation for celebrating her work and expressed joy over the support she received from fans, colleagues, and partners.
She also revealed that her movie Oversabi Aunty has made a strong impact, especially among families, as it encourages better parenting and communication between mothers and their children.
The actress further appreciated her fans, known as “Toyintitans,” and her partners at FilmOne Entertainment for supporting her throughout the journey. She added that this achievement is just the beginning of more success to come.
