A throwback video of Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has resurfaced online, detailing her long and emotional journey to motherhood following the birth of her first child.
In the past interview with Biola Bayo, Toyosi shared that her journey began in 2008 when she underwent medical procedures, including a laparoscopy and a dye test, in her quest to conceive.
She revealed that she first attempted IVF in 2009, which unfortunately failed despite costing between ₦900,000 and ₦1 million at the time. Determined to become a mother, she raised funds through her boutique business and even sold all her gold jewellery to afford the treatment.
Toyosi explained that she understood the process was uncertain, but remained hopeful. She made another attempt in 2011, which also failed, and tried again in 2013. During this period, she went through a stressful medical operation before being introduced to another set of medical facilities.
The resurfaced video has drawn emotional reactions from fans, especially now that the actress has finally welcomed her child, with many praising her strength, patience, and resilience throughout the years.
