Elsie Okpocha has responded strongly to recent claims of paternity fraud involving her former husband, comedian and actor Bright Basketmouth Okpocha.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Elsie addressed the rumours, warning social media users to stop fabricating false stories about her family. She wrote:
"All you Facebook bloggers fabricating lies... is Basketmouth aware he made that statement??? You can make up unimaginable stories about me but please leave my kids out of this nonsense!"
Her response comes after unverified reports suggested that Basketmouth discovered she allegedly gave him another man’s child as his own, which was said to have contributed to the end of their marriage.
Elsie and Basketmouth share three children together, while the comedian also has another child from a separate relationship.
The actress’s statement underscores her determination to protect her children from false accusations and public speculation.
