“I Dare You to Go Free Him” – VDM Claims He Sent Another Person to Keffi Prison, Calls Out Sowore

Controversial social commentator VeryDarkMan has stirred fresh reactions online after publicly calling out activist and politician Omoyele Sowore over a remand case involving an unnamed individual.

In a strongly worded post shared on social media, VeryDarkMan claimed he facilitated the remand of a person at Keffi Prison and challenged Sowore to intervene in the matter.

He wrote:

“Sowore, I have sent another person to Keffi Prison. He has been remanded until the 28th of this month. So I dare you to go and try to release him, let me see.”

He also referenced Sowore’s past comments on pre-trial detention, accusing him of inconsistency and urging him to act based on his earlier stance.

According to him:

“Get ready to shout ‘oppression.’ In one of your interviews, you said nobody deserves to be remanded until convicted by law. Now in this case, get ready to go and free him.”

VeryDarkMan further argued that activism should focus on fighting serious crimes rather than defending individuals accused of wrongdoing.

“Activists should fight against crimes that can destroy generations, not support it while masking it as oppression. I’m waiting to see what you do,” he added.

The statement has generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users supporting his call for accountability, while others criticised his tone and raised concerns about human rights and the issue of pre-trial detention.

As of now, Omoyele Sowore has not publicly responded to the challenge.
