A medical doctor identified as Dr Odigwe has denied claims by relationship therapist Blessing CEO that he diagnosed her with breast cancer.
In a statement released through the Nigerian Medical Association (Delta State Branch), Dr Odigwe clarified that he never issued any medical report to Blessing. He also corrected her claim about his location, stating that he resides in Asaba, not Enugu.
The association further alleged that the cancer report circulated by Blessing was doctored and originally belonged to another individual identified as Mbara Deborah. It called on authorities to investigate the matter and protect the public from being misled.
During an interview on Arise TV, medical doctor Adefunke Arowolo also accused Blessing of fabricating her medical results, noting that the document she presented matched a viral report currently linked to an ongoing dispute.
In a separate interview, Blessing admitted receiving about N13 million in donations but insisted she would not apologise. She explained that she relied on information given to her about lumps in her breast but acknowledged that she exaggerated her condition.
Earlier, Blessing had claimed she was battling stage 4 cancer and appealed for financial help. However, during a live session with Daddy Freeze, she admitted she was unsure of the stage of her condition and did not have a confirmed cost for surgery.
Amid the growing backlash and accusations of forgery, Blessing has since deactivated her Instagram page, while calls for further investigation continue.
