Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has emotionally reacted to the death of her colleague and friend, Alex Ekubo, revealing that she is still struggling to accept the heartbreaking news.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress said it had been 72 hours since news of his death surfaced, yet it still felt unbelievable to her. According to Bimbo, the situation still feels like a prank or a bad dream she hopes to wake up from.
The movie star became emotional as she remembered Alex’s playful personality and the funny words he usually said to her whenever they were together.
Recalling one of his popular jokes, she wrote:
“Bimbo, do you want me to turn you into a yam? Go and ask what ikuku means, I can just blink at you now, and you’d turn to yam.”
Bimbo said those words would remain unforgettable to her, adding that she would deeply miss his presence and playful nature.
In her tribute, she described Alex, popularly called “Ikuku,” as someone who would surely and unarguably be missed by many people who loved him.
She wrote:
“72 hours later, and it’s still not a prank, it’s still not a bad dream. THE BREEZE!
“I’d miss those words. Rest well, Ikuku. You’d surely, most definitely, unarguably be missed!”
The emotional post drew reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom joined the actress in mourning the late actor while sharing prayers and comforting messages.
