Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has expressed deep concern over the well-being of filmmaker Belinda Onyinye following a troubling message she shared online.
Belinda had posted a disturbing note on her page, asking people not to look for her and stating that she wanted to be gone. Her message immediately sparked worry among fans and colleagues.
Reacting to the post, Rotimi revealed that he tried to contact her but was unable to reach her, as her phone was switched off. He then called on anyone who knows her location or lives close to her to urgently check on her.
In his appeal, he wrote:
“Does anyone know who lives with @thespian_belinda or lives close to her? She posted this just now, and I tried calling her number immediately, but it’s switched off. Is there anyone who can help check on her? I am worried… plus the last two posts on her page are suggestive. Let’s share any info on her, please.”
Other Nollywood figures also reacted with concern. Faithia Williams expressed worry, praying for her safety, while Olayinka Solomon confirmed that her phone was unreachable. Actress Adewunmi Fatai also noted that Belinda had switched off her phone.
The situation has since raised alarm across social media, with many calling for urgent action to ensure the filmmaker’s safety.
