Nigerian comedian Kamo State has opened up about his personal experience of living between Ibadan and Lagos, describing how both cities feel very different to him as a content creator.
According to him, he only moved to Lagos about two years ago, even though he had been visiting the city regularly for skit-making and creative work for a long time while still living in Ibadan.
He said:
“I barely got to Lagos state 2 years ago. I have lived all my life in Ibadan. Though when I was in Ibadan, I usually come to Lagos state almost every week for contents and skits videos with my colleagues.”
The comedian explained that Ibadan feels like home to him because of his long stay and deep connection with the city. However, he described Lagos as a completely different environment filled with energy and pressure to work harder.
He added that Lagos inspires constant hustle and motivation, saying the city naturally pushes people to be more productive and ambitious.
According to him, Ibadan represents comfort, peace, and familiarity, while Lagos represents a fast-paced lifestyle driven by daily struggle, creativity, and the need to succeed.
His comments highlight the contrast between both cities, especially for entertainers and content creators working between the two environments.
