Fuji Star Remi Aluko Reveals He Has Lost His Sight Due to Glaucoma

Popular Fuji musician Remi Aluko has opened up about his worsening health condition, revealing that he has lost his sight after battling glaucoma for several years.

The veteran singer made the emotional revelation during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, where he spoke honestly about the health challenges he has been facing away from the public eye.

According to Aluko, he has been living with glaucoma for a long time and had previously undergone eye surgery in an effort to manage the condition. Despite those efforts, he disclosed that his eyesight has deteriorated significantly.

Speaking about his condition, the Fuji star said:

“I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.”

Despite the challenges, Aluko said he has refused to allow his condition to define his life or affect his mental well-being.

He explained that he has learned to adapt and take care of himself, even with his limited vision.

“Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed.”

His revelation has sparked sympathy and support from fans and colleagues, many of whom have praised his strength, resilience, and positive attitude despite the difficult circumstances.

The singer’s story has also drawn attention to glaucoma, a serious eye condition that can lead to permanent vision loss if not properly managed. Many supporters have since offered prayers and words of encouragement as he continues to cope with the condition.
