Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Tems has been announced as one of the headline performers for the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, United States.
She will perform alongside some of the world’s biggest music stars, including John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Bono, Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Common, and Marc Anthony, in a star-studded lineup.
The ceremony will take place on June 18 and will officially mark the opening of the Obama Presidential Center. The event will be streamed live to a global audience from the John Lewis Plaza within the facility.
According to the Obama Foundation, the ceremony will celebrate themes of democracy, hope, service, and culture, while highlighting some of the most influential performers from around the world.
Tems stands out as the only Nigerian artist featured in the announced lineup, marking another major international recognition for her growing global career.
