Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has revealed the largest amount of money he has ever made within a single year, saying he earned about $10 billion in just the first quarter.

Speaking in an interview with James Dumoulin on The School of Hard Knocks, Dangote was asked about his biggest yearly earnings. He responded that his group made around $10 billion within the first three months of a year, describing it as his most significant financial gain in a short period.

During the interview, he was also questioned about his overall net worth, estimated by Forbes at around $38 billion. Dangote, however, suggested that the figure may not fully reflect his true wealth, explaining that some of his businesses are privately held and not publicly listed.

The billionaire industrialist also spoke about his legacy, saying he hopes to be remembered for his contributions to Africa’s development.

“I want to be remembered as somebody who industrialised Africa,” he said.

His comments have since drawn wide attention, highlighting both his massive business success and his long-term vision for industrial growth across the continent.
