Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola has joined the growing number of Nigerians calling on the government to urgently address the country's security challenges.
The actor took to Instagram to express his concerns, sharing a heartbreaking photo featuring a candlelight image to reflect the grief and pain many Nigerians are currently experiencing.
In his emotional message, Muyiwa Ademola said the nation is mourning and appealed to the government to take immediate action to protect citizens.
According to him, Nigerians are no longer asking for luxury or special privileges but simply want adequate security and protection for their lives.
The actor lamented that safety, which should ordinarily be one of the most basic responsibilities of any government, has now become the major concern of many citizens due to the increasing cases of insecurity.
In his words:
“We are grieving at this moment! Please help us! Nigerian government, all we ask for at this juncture is adequate protection for our lives. It should be the least on our priorities, but now it is our major priority.”
His statement reflects the frustration and fears of many Nigerians who have continued to express concerns over rising cases of kidnappings, attacks, and other security threats across different parts of the country.
The actor's appeal has since generated reactions online, with many supporters agreeing that protecting lives should remain a top priority for the government.
