Veteran Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor and theatre icon Kola Oyewo following news of his passing at the age of 80.
Reports confirmed that the veteran actor died recently, with filmmaker Kunle Afod announcing his death and describing him as a true legend of Nollywood and theatre. He praised Oyewo for his outstanding talent, memorable performances, and lasting impact on the Nigerian film and stage industry, noting that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
In her emotional tribute shared on Instagram, Toyin expressed deep sorrow over his death, describing him as a man who “came, saw, and conquered.” She noted that death is inevitable and said people must accept God’s will without question.
She remembered the late actor as a great dancer, lecturer, uncle, father, and grandfather. She also expressed gratitude that she was able to celebrate with him during his 80th birthday, an event she described as a precious memory that will remain with her forever.
