The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N1,265 to N1,350 per litre.
The new price takes effect from Saturday, September 12, 2026, marking another upward adjustment by the refinery amid rising crude oil prices.
The latest increase represents an N85 hike per litre and is the refinery’s fourth petrol price increase since August 21.
Dangote Refinery initially raised its gantry price from N1,165 to N1,185 on August 21. It was further increased to N1,200 on August 26, then to N1,265 on August 29, before the latest adjustment to N1,350.
With the latest increase, the refinery’s petrol price has risen by N185 per litre, representing about 15.9 per cent, within 22 days.
In a circular issued by its Group Commercial Operations on Friday, the refinery also announced an increase in its coastal petrol price from N1,669,545 to N1,783,530 per metric tonne.
The company directed customers to return all affected loading tickets for repricing, after which new volume contracts would be issued to enable immediate resumption of loading.
The latest development is expected to further affect petrol pricing across the downstream market as marketers adjust to the refinery’s new rates.
