Popular Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ijekwu, better known as Sabinus, has expressed disappointment over what he described as the alarming level of agbero activities in Lagos.
The comedian reacted after reposting a video showing agberos at Onikan Stadium. In his post, Sabinus described the situation as an “agbero pandemic”, expressing concern over the conduct of some adults involved in the activities.
According to the skitmaker, speaking openly about the issue could attract criticism and attacks from internet users. He suggested that people might turn against him if he continued to comment on the situation.
Sabinus questioned why grown men and individuals who are breadwinners in their families would engage in activities he considered embarrassing or disorderly.
“If I dey talk about this agbero pandemic for Lagos, una go begin attack person. Just look at grown men and people’s breadwinners making a mess of themselves,” he wrote.
The comedian concluded by distancing himself from the controversy, saying, “I don wash my hands for this matter.”
His comments have since generated attention among social media users, with the skitmaker using his platform to express his frustration over the situation while acknowledging the backlash that could follow discussions about the issue.
