“Burying People at Home Isn’t a Good Idea” – Actress Kudirat Ogunro Speaks Amid Toluwanisings’ Family Clash With Wife

Nollywood actress Kudirat Ogunro has shared her opinion on the ongoing disagreement surrounding the burial arrangements of late gospel singer Toluwanisings.

The controversy reportedly began after one of the singer’s uncles, speaking on behalf of the family, released a statement outlining the family’s position on where and how Toluwanisings should be buried.

According to the uncle, the family was prepared to cover the singer’s mortuary expenses for as long as necessary. He also stated that the family wanted Toluwanisings to be buried at the home where his wife and children reside.

The uncle claimed that the singer’s wife rejected the proposal, after which the family suggested another family house. However, she reportedly turned down that option as well, saying the location was too far.

Reacting to the disagreement, Kudirat Ogunro said she personally does not support the idea of burying a deceased person within a family home.

The actress explained that such an arrangement could create complications in the future, particularly if the deceased’s children eventually decide to sell the property.

Kudirat questioned who would be willing to purchase a house that contains a burial site and argued that although it may be possible to exhume remains before selling such a property, it would be better to avoid creating the situation in the first place.

She said:

“I said it last month, and I’ll say it again: burying people at home isn’t a good idea.”

She further asked:

“What if the children grow up and decide to sell the house? Who wants to buy a house with a burial ground?”

Kudirat acknowledged that people could potentially buy such properties and have the remains exhumed, but maintained that she personally considers home burial inadvisable.

She concluded by stressing that her position was simply her personal opinion on the burial controversy surrounding the late singer.

Her comments add another perspective to the ongoing discussion over Toluwanisings’ final resting place as his family and wife continue to face disagreements over the burial arrangements.
