Highest rank of law makers in Nigeria, The senate has today passed a bill to the reduction fee of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) from N5,750 to N2,500 and also they've finally resolute and recommended the extention of the validity period of the UTME for three year academic years just like WAEC but the difference is that UTME is only three years validity.

The resolution was taken following the adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund on the inquiry into the new admission policy of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
