Redeemed Church Security Guard Impersonates Pastor Adeboye To Steal N.6M

A security man known as Awobola Babatunde in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been arrested and arraigned before the court for trying to impersonate the G.O of the mentioned above church, Pastor E.A Adeboye.

Babatunde was said to have opened an account in Pastor Adeboye's name attempting to cash the N600,000 cheque he stole in the office of the Pastor.
He committed the offense on June 6 at No. 1/9, Redemption Way, Ebutte Metta, where he allegedly stole a Fidelity Bank cheque valued at N600,000, belonging to the RCCG General Overseer.
Babatunde however pleaded not guilty of the offense and he has since been granted bail of N100,000 in addition with two sureties who must also produce evidence of tax payment to the Lagos state Government.
The case has been adjourned till 4th of August 2016.
