Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has publicly shown her support for her colleague, Toyin Abraham, amid the controversy surrounding a leaked audio recording allegedly involving the actress.
In a video shared online, Toyosi spoke on behalf of Toyin, appealing to members of the public and the actress’ fans to support her despite the ongoing controversy.
She also expressed sympathy for those who may have been disappointed or offended by the leaked conversation, urging them to find peace and solace.
Toyosi encouraged fans to channel their energy into supporting Toyin’s upcoming movie, Bestie Jesus, which she said will be showing in cinemas from December 16.
She urged members of the public to believe in Toyin and stand by her during the difficult period.
According to Toyosi, the focus should now be on supporting one another and promoting the actress’ work rather than allowing the controversy to create further division.
She said:
“Good day, our amazing people, all lovers and fans of Toyin Abraham. I’m using this medium to speak on her behalf and to offer peace and solace to aggrieved channels and those who feel disappointed by the voice leak.”
Toyosi further called on fans at home and abroad to support Toyin and her project, stressing the importance of being there for one another.
She concluded by urging the public to channel their energy into supporting Bestie Jesus and to “be our brothers and sisters’ keeper.”
