37-yr-old Akintunde Abiodun has being charged to court by the EFCC for obtaining money by false pretence and forgery. Akintunde reportedly strapped a D. Bonnici of 267,000 New Zealand dollar after pretending to be Christopher Williams from Uk.

Bonnici said she met Abiodun on a dating site and fell in love with him adding that the defendant began collecting money from her with the claim that he had some gemstones which he inherited from his father worth 18 million dollars.She further said he deluded her into believing that he was coming to settle down with her in New Zealand adding that the money sent to Akintunde were received in Malaysia and Nigeria by different people who claims to be friends with Akintunde.Akintunde who pleaded not guilty was denied bail and is currently in Kirikiri prison awaiting trial.
