I would like to say a big thank you to my father, my mentor, His excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for given me the opportunity to be celebrated as the Chairman NURTW Lagos Council, Nation President of this great Union , my boss Alhaji Comrade Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, His Royals majesty the Osolo of Isolo, Hon Dr Bashiru Dawodu member House of Representatives, the Chairman house committee on transportation Hon Adedeji Temitope Adewale "ATA” NLC Chairperson, VIO, Council of Elders NURTW Lagos, Council of Bale’s, Lagos state APC Southwest LGA Chairmen, UBA representatives, private sector, good people of Lagosians, the gentlemen and ladies of the press and others not mention.

My first point of call after taking the oath of office was to caution our members across the state to shield their swords and embrace peace. I am using the golden opportunity to seek the support of everyone towards achieving a peaceful and rancour free Union. In doing that however, there will be peace and harmony.

Furthermore, we are one body as Nurtw must remind ourselves that we are heirs to great civilizations, how ever, no matter how well organized the state executives they can not succeed without your support, understanding and cooperation. I appeal to all NURTW Members alike to unite in raising productivity so that everybody will have the opportunity to share in increased prosperity.
My appeal for unity is predicated on the seriousness of the legacy we are getting into.
