The following are the dazzling photos from behind the scenes of ‘Citation’, a movie which dispatches the acting profession of billionaire daughter, Temi Otedola.
The film is coordinated by Kunle Afolayan and it features stars like Gabriel Afolayan, Joke Silva-Jacobs, Seun Kuti and many more.
Temi Otedola, who has never featured in any movie before, exposed cases that her billionaire father mastermind a role for her in the Kunle Afolayan movie.
She told PUNCH, “I have been watching Mr Afolayan’s films for a long time. From Figurine to October 1st and when I met him, I told him I had been watching his movies for a long time. He then told me that he had a script he was working on and the lead character is actually a girl around my age. It was a story I could relate to and I was interested. I felt it was a character I could interpret well. I read the script and I was so excited. For a whole month, I had to audition because he wasn’t sure. For about six months, we discussed the role and I’m so excited because I feel the story would resonate with people. Also, I believe that I would do justice to the role. I really cannot give much details about the script but I’m so honoured and humbled to be given this opportunity.”
Kunle Afolayan who coordinated the film also disproved claims that he was impacted by billionaire Femi Otedola to feature his daughter in the movie.
He said, “From the beginning (of my career), I have always featured special appearances. As long as they are talented and doing well, the person doesn’t have to be an actor. Once I see that the person can pull off a certain character, I give it a go. I did it with Chidinma (Ekile) in ‘The Bridge’ and Simi in ‘Mokalik’. Temi is one of the most hardworking, energetic and level-headed human beings I have ever met. She has been groomed for this for almost a year. Meanwhile, there is going to be another big announcement about someone else that would be featured in this film and it is going to catch people by surprise.”
