Nollywood actress Sikiratu Sindodo has opened up about her past relationship with NURTW boss MC Oluomo, explaining why she chose not to hide the relationship from the public.
Speaking during an interview with Oyinmomo, the Yoruba actress said she did not see any reason to keep her relationship with MC Oluomo private at the time. According to her, she believed that if two people were together, people would eventually find out anyway.
Sindodo explained that she simply “didn’t care” about public knowledge of the relationship and therefore made no effort to conceal it.
However, when asked about what eventually caused their breakup, the actress declined to reveal details. She described the circumstances surrounding their separation as “a long story” and said she would rather not discuss the matter.
Reflecting on the experience, Sindodo offered advice to women about keeping their romantic relationships away from public scrutiny. She said she now envies colleagues who chose to keep their relationships private, admitting that she regrets publicly announcing her relationship with MC Oluomo.
The actress acknowledged that MC Oluomo treated her well during their time together, saying this was one of the reasons she had openly identified him at the time.
Despite appreciating how he treated her, Sindodo now believes that publicly revealing the relationship was unnecessary.
She stated that although she had no regrets about how well he treated her, she regretted making their relationship public because, in her view, it was not worth it.
Her comments have sparked conversations among fans and social media users about the importance of privacy in romantic relationships, particularly among public figures. Sindodo’s experience has also served as a personal reflection on how publicising a relationship can sometimes lead to unwanted attention after the relationship ends.
“MC Oluomo said the reason he appreciates you a lot and can never forget u is because you’re the only actress he dated and you didn’t hide it. You always flaunted him and even customized his name on your car back then”
