"Life Is Colorless, Dry Without You Ibidun" - Pastor Ituah Ighodalo.

For Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, life is colorless and dry without his wife, Ibidun Ighodalo who died a week ago of cardiac arrest.

Ituah first became a divorcee.

His first wife, Lucy-Ann Summer, chartered accountant, who is also of the same profession, left him.

Besides that his first overseas marriage was without a child and his wife refused to return to Nigeria with him.

He was not supposed to be divorced as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, RCCG.

The policy is, you can't remarry as long as the partner you're divorced from is alive.

This maybe kept Pastor Ituah as a bachelor for 10 years. He was single, divorced but shepherding a parish of the RCCG n Gbagada.

He then met a lovely youth corper, Ibidunni Ajayi, who had also contested for the Miss Lux Beauty Pageant.

A four-year Microbiology graduate, Ibidun, and Pastor Ituah.

“I met Ibidun when she was fresh out of school and we became friends. She was young and always wanted to organize things,” He told members of the Association of Professional Event Planners who paid him a visit of condolence Tuesday.

After 18 months of friendship he proposed to her.

They married on April 16, 2007, and had their engagement in Ibadan three days later.

He had to abandon the Redeemed Church, because he had remarried.

Two years later the Trinity House Church was created.

she wrote on their 12th wedding anniversary in 2019:

“12 years…….
You’ve been my friend…..
You’ve been my lover…..
You’ve been my father….
You’ve been a husband…..
You’ve comforted me…..
You’ve made me laugh….
You’ve groomed me…..
You’ve defended me…..
You’ve understood me….
You’ve stood by me….. Everyday in my consciousness and unconsciously I thank God for the gift of Olajide…. God truly knew what He was doing when He made our paths cross……”

She 'd always talk about his love and support. Last February, when they had their 13th marriage anniversary, she wrote,

“13th year anniversaries are symbolised by LACE… Baby,

May our lives continue to be LACED in love
May our love continue to be LACED with Gods grace

Meanwhile, the pastor's husband wrote about his wife during their 11th wedding anniversary in 2018: “My superstar… life without you is colourless and dry… thank you for bringing so much joy and favour my way…You are my EVERYTHING and I promise to love and protect you all the days of your life… Happy anniversary Kokoye.”

She would have been 40 years on 19 July, on 6 April 2020 Ituah clocked 59 years.
