Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has expressed gratitude to her fans, friends and colleagues following the successful celebration of her son’s seventh birthday.
The actress had promised to give her son a memorable celebration and kept her word by hosting a lavish birthday party in Lekki, Lagos, over the weekend.
The celebration attracted several Nollywood stars and celebrities, including Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Mo Bimpe, Biola Bayo, Seyi Edun, Fausat Balogun, Isbae U, Kiekie, Kemity, Yetunde Barnabas, Toyosi Adesanya, Sola Kosoko and many others.
Following the celebration, Wumi Toriola took to social media to appreciate everyone who attended the party and supported her son.
The actress said her heart was full after seeing how people showed up for her son, bringing gifts, spending their money, giving their time and surrounding the family with love.
She admitted that she was overwhelmed by the show of affection and said she did not take any of the gestures for granted.
Toriola prayed for God to bless everyone who contributed to making the celebration memorable, asking Him to replenish their pockets and give them reasons to celebrate their own loved ones.
She wrote:
“My heart is so full. Yesterday you all made me feel on top of the world! I honestly wish I could send everyone a personal voice note to say Thank You.
“You showed up for my son, brought gifts, spent your money, gave your time, and surrounded us with so much love.
“I do not take a single gesture for granted. I am still overwhelmed by the love.
“Thank you for making my son’s celebration so beautiful and unforgettable.”
Wumi Toriola concluded by saying that her son’s birthday celebration went beyond an ordinary party, as the love and support shown to them reminded her of how deeply loved they are.
