"WHEN I LOST MY SON,SOME PEOPLE MADE FUN OF ME" PASTOR ADEBOYE EXPLAINS

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has disclosed that when he lost his biological son in 2021, some people made fun of him.

On Tuesday, August 9, Adeboye, who was preaching on the subject of "Born Free" at the church's 70th Annual Convention, said that God had been with him during the most difficult time of his life, which began in May 2021 with the passing of his 42-year-old son Dare.

According to the pastor, God adopts people who are willing to come forward.

He stated:

“Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.

“All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.”

On May 4, 2021, Dare, Pastor Adeboye's third child, passed away in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he and his family were based. The deceased, who was married to Temiloluwa, was the father of three girls and, before to his passing, served as the assistant pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35.
