"YES, I'M STINGY BUT I WON'T STEAL NATION'S WEALTH" PETER OBI REPLIES BOLA TINUBU

Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi admitted that a stingy man will save his country by not stealing public funds

Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, has stated that if elected president of Nigeria in the upcoming presidential election, he will be committed to the development of the country.

He also stated that he would not steal public funds while in office.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, had previously identified Obi as a stingy man who could not be trusted with the country and it's people.

However, Obi stated that the country would be perfectly safe in the hands of a stingy man like him.

During a campaign rally in Akure, Ondo State's capital, on Saturday, Obi said he would be able to invest in education, health, the economy, and other sectors to help the country develop.

Peter Obi said:

"Yes they said l am stingy, but we are not out to steal the nation's wealth. All we want to do is use the nation's money to help our people and the country's development.

"They said that I'm stingy; we want stingy people now, so that we can keep the money. We want to make certain that your money is used to transform the country.

"This election that is coming now, don't vote for anybody because of tribe but vote for someone that will move the country forward.

"We don't want anybody to say that it is my turn; we want to change Nigeria for better. Our children will be in school; we do not want people to flee Nigeria. Nigeria must be structured for development. So, go and pick your PVCs and vote for Labour Party and make sure that they count the vote".
