Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has taken a swipe at his senior colleague and President of The Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, for his recent comment regarding veteran actors.
In defense of the association, Mr Latin stated that actors seeking assistance are not members of TAMPAN. This statement drew a reaction from Yomi Fabiyi, who advised Mr Latin to exercise caution and refrain from impulsively responding to every social media post.
Yomi Fabiyi went on to suggest that Mr Latin should appoint a Special Adviser on Media to review and censor his statements, in order to avoid making further mistakes.
In a broadcast addressing Mr Latin, Yomi Fabiyi emphasized that the TAMPAN president holds a position of authority among professionals in the industry and should approach sensitive issues with due diligence. He further stressed the importance of thoughtful and measured responses, urging Mr Latin to seek proper counsel to prevent any missteps.
Yomi Fabiyi's critique highlights the need for responsible and strategic communication, particularly in a highly visible role such as that of the TAMPAN president. The call for a media adviser reflects a desire for greater professionalism and guidance in addressing public matters.
As this exchange between Yomi Fabiyi and Mr Latin unfolds, industry observers are curious to see if there will be any further discussions or actions taken to address the concerns raised by Yomi Fabiyi.
