Nigerian actor Yomi Fabiyi has taken to social media to express his contentment after receiving acknowledgment from the Lagos State Government concerning his formal letter regarding the actress and comedian Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, and fellow actor Baba Ijesha.
Recalling the situation, Yomi Fabiyi, acting through his human rights organization, Break The Silence Foundation, had submitted a formal request urging the detainment and charging of Princess and her associates. This plea emerged following the arrest and imprisonment of his colleague, Baba Ijesha, who had been found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor.
In light of Baba Ijesha's arrest, an examination of the victim's evidence revealed a substance unrelated to Baba Ijesha. Responding to these revelations, Fabiyi penned an open letter directed at Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
While Fabiyi noted a lack of prior responses to his communications with the governor, he highlighted Princess's potential role as an accessory after the fact. He maintained that, in the pursuit of justice and due process, Princess must address pertinent questions related to the case.
In a recent update, Yomi Fabiyi shared an image of the letter sent to the Lagos government, displaying the official stamp of receipt.
Alongside the shared letter, he wrote, "Isu atenu m'oro kin jona....." - an expression reflecting a state of contentment and fulfillment. This recognition of his communication by the government indicates a significant turn in the ongoing narrative surrounding the controversial case.
