"The Last Respect We Can Give To Murphy Afolabi Is Reposting His Movie" Actor Papashow Tell Colleagues

In a social media plea, Nigerian actor Shoneye Olamilekan has urged fellow actors to channel the same energy they used in posting tributes to the late Murphy Afolabi towards promoting Afolabi's final movie. Expressing disappointment at the apparent indifference of colleagues towards Afolabi's project, Shoneye questioned why there was silence around the late actor's work.

Shoneye, known for avoiding attention on social media, accused Nollywood of neglecting to share Afolabi's artistic endeavors. He playfully taunted his peers for swiftly posting about Afolabi's shocking death but hesitating to showcase his works, emphasizing that promoting the project costs nothing.

In his statement, Shoneye emphasized, "I'm not the type to seek attention on social media, but the last respect we can give to Murphy Afolabi is reposting his movie for massive awareness! At least we all posted about his death when it shocked us, why not his movie? It costs us absolutely nothing. My take though."

Murphy Afolabi passed away on May 14, 2023, after a fatal accident at home, reportedly slipping on bathroom tiles and hitting his head on a hard surface. The latest development reveals that Afolabi's last movie, set to be released on November 20, 2023, has garnered attention, with actor Muyiwa Ademola sharing the trailer on his Instagram page. Netizens are reacting to the upcoming release, underlining the significance of promoting Afolabi's final cinematic work.
