Fuji artist Malaika took to social media to provide a detailed account of the renovations he facilitated at the home of the late Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. Malaika shared that his busy schedule had prevented him from visiting the site since the renovations began but decided to inspect the progress recently.
In his own words, Malaika expressed, "I decided to pay a visit to the home of founder and legend of fuji music, the late Aare Sikiru Ayinde Ololade Olanbiwonninu Agbaje Balogun aka Barrister, where Allah has used me to renovate the building." He further explained that he and his management visited the site after workers urged him to witness their efforts back in December.
Grateful for the opportunity, Malaika acknowledged, "I thank Allah for giving me this privilege, and I am sure that my colleagues would also contribute their own quota towards keeping the memories of Barrister alive forever." The singer emphasized the cultural importance of the renovation, quoting a Yoruba proverb: "odo to ba gbagbe orisun ma gbe ni" (a river that forgets its source would dry up). Concluding his post, Malaika described the entire experience as a manifestation of grace.
